Faculty Development Programs  

We offer the best environment for our faculty and staff members to grow professionally. IILM’s goal is to enable instructors to contribute their best efforts in terms of teaching strategies that lead to improved student success, retention and satisfaction. We offer instructor-led workshops and training programs for the professional and personal growth of faculty members in the areas of communication skills, teaching methodologies, course design, career development and institution building.

Interaction With Distinguished Personalities 

Distinguished speakers and researchers in India and abroad frequently come to the campus to share information and experience with our faculty .During the last year we invited among others Management Guru C.K. Prahlad (Michigan Business School), Dr.M.S Swaminathan (Distinguished agricultural scientist), Prof .William Alexander (Wharton Business School,USA), Prof.Colin Neville (Bradford University,UK),Prof. Ravishankar (Asian Institute of Technology,Bangkok) and Prof. Hume (Griffith University, Australia) to name a few. 

Academic Environment 

IILM provides a very conducive environment for its faculty to grow academically. To generate and promote knowledge and to develop innovative ideas in academics IILM faculty is encouraged to do research work, write case studies and take up consultancy work. They are provided with various incentives and academic resources to encourage and facilitate their work. 

Social Environment 

IILM recognizes the need to provide right social environment to refresh one s body and mind and to improve the quality of life. At IILM major festivals are celebrated with great joy and festivities.Faculty members are encouraged to participate in various functions held at IILM.

 


Certificate course in Staff Training – An initiative by IILM

IILM Institute for Higher Education has taken an initiative in Launching a 'Certificate Course in Staff Training' for it's staff members beginning in January 2011.

The objective of the program is to equip their staff with skills, which will help them in increasing their efficiency at work.

It is a 100 hour program which is being conducted on the last Saturdays of every month at either of the campuses(Lodhi Road and Gurgaon). The program will consist modules on Positive Psychology, Emotional Intelligence, Working in Teams, Providing better services, Time management, Anger and Stress Management and so on.

 

The trainers will be a combination of in house faculty members and outside experts. A certificate on completion will be issued at the end of the training program.

 

PG Certification in Teaching and Learning – An initiative by IILM

IILM Institute for Higher Education has launched a PG certification in teaching and learning which will provide training to it's faculty members and academic associates, leading to a Certification at the end of the program.

The objective of the program is to provide participants gain useful knowledge, understanding and skills which will assist them in their teaching careers, which in turn will broaden their horizon in the emerging field of teaching and learning in Higher Education.

It would also help the participants to combine the perspectives of practitioners, policy makers and researchers along with the understanding of the major themes, issues and debates in the field of higher education teaching, learning and assessment.

The course broadly covers the themes like, the context of Management Teaching, the pedagogy used for effective and enhanced delivery in classroom , course design and assessment which would enhance their ability to understand student learning, make judgements about their practice and wider academic practice.
