Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field encompassing Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Science Engineering. B.Tech in Mechatronics is a 4 year (8 semester) undergraduate program.
The inspiration for this area comes from the current industrial needs and difficulties, which necessitate a versatile & competent workforce to meet future demands of automation. IILM University, Greater Noida offers two specializations in B.Tech Mechatronics and student can choose any one of them, the specializations are:
a) Electric Vehicle Technology: Automobile vehicles today have many electronic components. It is estimated that between 25 and 50 central processing units (CPUs) control the various sensors and mechanical parts. Slowly we are moving towards automating vehicles and changing its fueling system also. This specialization is aimed to give students a broad understanding of skills required for the EV revolution. Electrochemical storage, power electronics, and electrical machines are all part of this skill set. It takes into account both the theoretical and practical elements of the devices and technologies in question.
b) Robotics & Automation: A rapidly expanding discipline of robotics and automation deals with intelligent machines and smart systems and is fueling economic growth and employment while also reshaping the nature of work in a variety of ways. We offer a specialization in Robotics and Automation that combines technical expertise with hands-on experience in real-world applications, as well as an understanding of the societal implications, ethical dilemmas, and business prospects that are pertinent to this profession. Students will gain valuable project experience, a relevant curriculum, and a reliable source of recruits through collaborations with local businesses and agencies.
