In today\u2019s world it has become the norm for engineers to enrol for a Management program,
\neither an MBA or a PGDM. It has also been consistently observed that most of the students
\nwho score a 100 Percentile in CAT are engineers, usually from one of the IITs.
\nSo why is an MBA the next milestone for such students? There are several reasons for the

\nSchools have an extremely cosmopolitan culture and have a very talented Faculty
\nbase. The same is the case with top engineering institutions. Engineers are also used

3. You understand the opportunities ahead:\u00a0<\/strong>The field of Business and Technology is
\nincreasingly intertwined with each other. Several emerging areas of business like
\ndata analytics require a strong technical base.<\/p>\n

Also, since engineers are good at math and logic, the field of Finance offers several opportunities. A lot of mechanical engineers go for Operations Management because they are good at projects that involve industrial research.<\/p>\n

4. Go where the money is:<\/strong> An engineer, powered with MBA degree, commands a
\nbetter pay package than any other course.<\/p>\n

An engineering student\u2019s average package is around 11 lakh but if they combine degrees of most sought-after institutes, then the package shoots upto 18 lakh for freshers.<\/p>\n

5. Your growth will be swift:<\/strong> If you\u2019re looking to stay at your current engineering-focused company and are looking for that leg up into the upper echelons of management, it turns out your MBA may be a golden ticket to dreams fulfilled.<\/p>\n

As per a recent LinkedIn article on the topic, managers with an engineering
\nbackground are much more equipped to handle business situations.
