IILM 11th PRME International Conference Transformative Vision of NEP 2020 towards Inclusive and Equitable Education: Revisiting SDG 4.0
The IILM Group of institutions is pleased to announce the 11th Responsible Management Education International Conference “Transformative Vision of NEP 2020 towards Inclusive and Equitable Education: Revisiting SDG 4.0” to be held on 23rd and 24th February, 2024 at IILM University Greater Noida. IILM University Greater Noida offers an integrated approach to learning across a broad range of disciplines such as Management, Law, Liberal Arts and Engineering. The University empowers students and prepares them to deal with the diversity of the changing world through academic excellence, application-oriented research and innovation. The 11th Responsible Management Education International Conference, organized by IILM, proposes to revisit SDG 4.0 which reads “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”. The conference will facilitate a comprehensive exploration and discussion of the alignment between the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) set by the United Nations. IILM University Greater Noida invites stakeholders from business, education, and civil society to discuss the role of inclusive and equitable education in redefining a sustainable society.

Innovate and Educate: Role of Technology Towards NEP’s Equitable Vision –
The National Education Policy (NEP) in India was introduced in 2020 with the aim of transforming the education system to meet the evolving needs of the 21st century. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, especially SDG 4, India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 aims to transform the educational system with an emphasis on fairness, access, quality, and inclusion. Technology plays a pivotal role in realizing the NEP’s vision by providing innovative solutions to address challenges and enhance the educational experience. This session would focus on how to leverage technology as a catalyst for transforming the landscape of education in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) in India, equitable and inclusive learning opportunities for all. The session would also reflect on empowering educators and engaging students to create a dynamic and accessible education system in line with the evolving needs of the 21st century.
Opportunities and Challenges in the Implementation of New Education Policy –
An education system undergoes transformative shift globally, the implementation of new education policy emerges as a pivotal force shaping the future of learning. While the National Education Policy brings promising opportunities for positive changes in the education system, addressing the associated challenges is essential for its successful implementation. The objective of this session is to provide a platform for educators, policymakers, researchers, and other stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions, share insights, and collaboratively address the opportunities and challenges associated with the dynamic implementation of new education policies. Through this collective exploration, participants will contribute to the ongoing dialogue on various strategies and practices associated with NEP ensuring a future-ready inclusive education for all.
Bridging the Industry-Academia Gap for skill development and lifelong learning –
Bridging the gap between industry and academia is crucial for enhancing skill development, promoting lifelong learning, and contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education. This integration of education with industry requirements is essential for preparing individuals for meaningful employment and supporting sustainable economic development. This session would highlight the important considerations such as industry relevant curriculum design, summer internship and placements, industry-academia collaborations, professional development programs, soft skills development, digital and technological integration, lifelong learning. By implementing these strategies, educational institutions can contribute to SDG 4 by ensuring that education is not only inclusive and equitable but also responsive to the needs of the workforce and supportive of lifelong learning.
The conference proposes to deliberate upon the above topic over a period of two days and five sessions – opening and valedictory sessions and 3 plenary sessions based on the sub (session) themes mentioned above.
