As an institute we hope to take the case of responsible management to educational institutions and corporate across India. Annually, IILM joining hands with United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) PRME Initiative conducts conferences generally in the start of the year i.e. in January or February based on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) represent universal transformative agenda, focusing on well-being and sustainability of all countries for the present and future generations. A highly connected world means that policies in any country can make a major impact across the globe. These Conferences are attended by renowned academicians, industry captains, policy makers, senior representatives from NGOs, and members of the diplomatic corps.
IILM’s First International Conference on “Responsible Management Education and Practice”, in January 2014, set an important milestone in the journey of IILM. It was followed by successive conferences each year where there was a meaningful engagement of Industry and academia. IILM’s Second International Conference was scheduled from 8th to 10th January 2015 and was inspired by the SDGs. In 2016, IILM’s Third International Conference on “Responsible Management Education, Training and Practice” was scheduled from 7th to 9th January. The third Conference was inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations which were adopted at the UN Sustainable Development Summit, September 25th to 27th, 2015 in New York, the title of the agenda being “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Fourth International Conference on “Sustainability and Innovation: Key Drivers of Responsible Management” from 9th to 11th, February 2017. This year, the Fifth International Conference on “Resolution to Resolve: Sustainability Practices in Industry and Education” was held from 15th to 17th February.
