Aashish Kaushik is an academician and researcher who currently works as a Teaching Associate at the School of Computer Science & Engineering, IILM University, Gurugram. He is also working on AI, IoT based innovations at SCSE. He also has relevant experience working as Research Intern at IIT Mandi (CAIR), where he worked on lip synchronization supported via computer vision, and he fine-tuned large language models which optimized model performance. He has expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and Data Analytics with research contributions in specialized language models, AI and healthcare, urban planning, and educational technology.

He has written and co-written peer-reviewed publications in reputable international journals and edited collections. His most recent work considers Specialized Language Models (SLMs) as a means to move forward education, AI in healthcare, and city planning. In addition to his research, he has carried out projects and developed projects on data science using various tools, optimizing LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation systems, and decision-making tools using data.
