Dr. Law Kumar Singh is a Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at IILM University, Gurugram, India, with over two decades of experience in academics, research, and teaching. He holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering. His research expertise lies in emerging areas of Artificial Intelligence, particularly Medical Image Processing, Digital Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. In addition, his teaching expertise includes core computer science subjects such as Compiler Design, Discrete Mathematics, Computer Networks, Soft Computing, Computer Graphics, and Object-Oriented Programming. He is also actively involved in guiding Ph.D. scholars and mentoring postgraduate research students in advanced AI and healthcare-related research areas.

Prior to joining IILM University, Dr. Singh served at Amity University Punjab, GLA University, Mathura, and the Sharda Group of Institutions, where he made significant contributions to teaching, research, and academic development. Alongside his academic responsibilities, he has held several leadership and administrative roles, including Deputy Head of Department, Program Coordinator, Departmental Examination Coordinator, Board of Studies Member/In-Charge, NBA and NAAC Accreditation Coordinator, and NPTEL/MOOC Coordinator, contributing to academic planning, curriculum implementation, accreditation processes, and the smooth conduct of examinations. In addition, he has played an important role in student mentoring and campus development as Senior Hostel Warden, Class Advisor, Event Coordinator, and Member of Anti-Ragging and Discipline Committees, helping foster a safe, supportive, and academically vibrant environment.

Dr. Singh has published more than 60 research papers in Scopus and SCI-indexed journals and has contributed to several reputed international journals published by Elsevier, Springer Nature, and Wiley, including Advances in Engineering Software, Knowledge-Based Systems, Expert Systems (Wiley), Expert Systems with Applications, and Biomedical Signal Processing and Control. His research primarily emphasizes advanced deep learning and computer vision techniques for medical imaging, aiming to enhance diagnostic accuracy and support clinical decision-making.

In recognition of the impact and quality of his research contributions, Dr. Singh has been listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in the Elsevier–Stanford University global ranking. His Scopus H-index is 25 and his Google Scholar H-index is 29, reflecting the strong citation impact and global visibility of his scholarly work.

Dr. Singh has received several awards for excellence in teaching and research. He was honored with the “Best Teacher Award 2022” in the overall performance category in the Computer Science and Engineering branch by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of AKTU at AKTU Campus, Lucknow (State-Level Recognition). He also received the Best Research Award 2024 for his outstanding research contributions at GLA University, Mathura.

To continuously enhance his professional expertise, Dr. Singh has completed several recognized certifications, including the NPTEL Elite Certification in Compiler Design from IIT Kharagpur, NPTEL Certification in Machine Learning for Engineering and Applications from IIT Madras, and NPTEL certifications in Deep Learning and Machine Learning. He also holds a NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute Certificate of Competency in Fundamentals of Deep Learning for Computer Vision and is a Certified Oracle Academy Instructor for Java Fundamentals and Programming.
