Dr. Lalit Kumar is a distinguished academician and researcher with over 15 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership in Computer Science and Engineering. He currently serves as Professor & Head of the Department of Computer

Applications in School of Computer Science and Engineering at IILM University, Greater Noida. He is a Ph.D. holder from MJP Rohilkhand University and a UGC-NET qualified professional, with previous academic appointments at Sharda University, Jain (Deemed-to-be) University, and others.

His core expertise lies in emerging technologies including Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Quantum Computing, and Blockchain. He is actively involved in interdisciplinary research, academic administration, and national-level collaborations.

Dr. Kumar is the Co-PI of a ₹50 Lakh funded Cyber-Physical Systems Lab at IILM University in collaboration with iHub-AWaDH, IIT Ropar. He has submitted major research proposals to DST and other funding agencies. His prolific research includes over 25 publications in SCI/Scopus-indexed journals, contributions to 10+ national and international patents (including design patents in India and the UK), and several authored books on cybersecurity, DevSecOps, e-commerce, and MIS.

He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Advanced Research in Computer Science and Engineering (IJARCSE) and has been a keynote speaker, session chair, and organizing committee member for multiple IEEE and Springer conferences. He has delivered expert sessions on cutting-edge technologies and has guided research scholars in areas such as AI-driven systems, cloud security, and accessible computing.

An enthusiastic academic leader, Dr. Kumar has convened national conferences such as TECH4SDG-2025 and will co-chair the upcoming IEEE ICISESSC-2026. He has also completed over 15 national FDPs, certifications, and MOOCs on AI, ML, Quantum Security, and Cloud Infrastructure from prestigious platforms like IIT Roorkee, Central University of Punjab, Coursera, and LinkedIn Learning.
