Welcome to Dr. A.V. Vedpuriswar at IILM Academy, Jaipur We are happy to welcome Dr. A.V. Vedpuriswar to IILM Academy of Higher Learning in Jaipur. Dr. Ved is an experienced professional who has worked for over 30 years at major companies like Cognizant, UBS, Satyam, Tata Steel, and Berger Paints. He studied at IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta, two of India’s top institutions. What makes Dr. Ved special is his ability to explain difficult ideas in simple ways. He is skilled at teaching and helping young students understand complex business concepts. Throughout his career, he has guided many leaders and written books to share his knowledge. At Cognizant, he held a senior position where he helped develop leaders and trained professionals across the world. Now at IILM Jaipur, Dr. Ved wants to share what he has learned over the years. He will help students develop the right attitude, discipline, and mindset needed to succeed in today’s fast-changing business world. We are proud to have him as part of our IILM Jaipur family and welcome him warmly.
At IILM, Summer Internship Projects (SIP) are taken very seriously and are a major part of the curriculum activity. The curriculum mandates a 3-month long internship, meant to provide a first-hand experience of the business world. Moving from the classroom to the corporate reality through summer internships makes the students more proficient at handling real life challenges and making effective decisions. It will acquaint students with the demands of the world of work in terms of knowledge, skills and attitude to perform effectively. This short term experience provides a real insight into what it’s actually like working in a particular job or career field. SIP projects are evaluated by faculty mentors before they are allocated to the students. The faculty mentors also visit companies and interact with the industry mentors on a regular basis to track the progress of the students’ performance. Students are required to submit fortnightly a progress report to their mentors as a part of their evaluation. The project culminates with a presentation by the student before a panel of company representatives and the industry mentor at the company premises or presentation of the same before a panel of faculty and alumni.
