Brigadier SS Gill (Retd.) is a distinguished senior military leader with over three decades of exemplary service in the Indian Army, bringing extensive experience in operations, logistics, infrastructure development, governance, and leadership. He has held key strategic and command appointments at national and international levels, including service with the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission, contributing to global security and cooperation.
After an accomplished military career, Brigadier Gill has transitioned to academic administration and leadership. He has joined IILM University as Registrar, where he contributes his vast experience in governance, institutional administration, policy implementation, and organizational leadership to strengthen academic systems and operational excellence.
Previously, he served as Deputy Provost Marshal (Brigadier), Group Commander, and Deputy Director General, leading large teams and managing complex administrative and operational responsibilities. His diverse career also includes roles as Faculty & Registrar and CEO/CTO, reflecting his strong foundation in education management and executive leadership.
Academically, Brigadier Gill holds a PGDM in Financial Management from NIFM, Faridabad, an M.Sc. in Weapon Technology from the University of Chennai, and Senior and Junior Level Defence Management Diplomas from DAVV, Indore.
His areas of expertise include strategic leadership, infrastructure and smart city projects, HR and township management, education administration, and international peacekeeping. He has been honored with the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card and UN recognition for peacekeeping service.
