Introduction
Dr. Mohd Shahid Ali is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the School of Business, IILM University, Gurugram, India, with over eleven years of teaching and academic experience. He holds a PhD, MBA, and M.Com. from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, and a B.Com. (Honours) from Ramanujan College, University of Delhi. He also cleared CMA-Inter in the first attempt. An Indian citizen and Life Member of the All India Commerce Association, Dr. Ali has been associated with reputed institutions including IILM University, Woxsen University, Motilal Nehru College (University of Delhi), Motilal Nehru Evening College, and Jamia Millia Islamia, where he also served as Visiting Faculty for PhD coursework, delivering sessions on Analytical Tools for Research.
Dr. Ali’s academic interests span Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Business Analytics, Data Analysis, SPSS, and Statistics. He is UGC-JRF qualified (2011) and has made significant research contributions, including 24 published research papers across Scopus, Web of Science, and ABDC-listed journals, along with multiple working and submitted papers in high-quality Scopus-indexed journals. His scholarly output further includes four international books, two edited books, book chapters, conference proceedings, a submitted patent, a Canadian copyright, and ICSSR-funded projects. He has delivered invited talks, chaired academic sessions, served as a journal reviewer, and actively participated in numerous workshops, FDPs, and conferences of national and international importance.
In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Ali has held several leadership and administrative roles, Head of the Research Cluster on AI in Business Analytics at Woxsen University, and key responsibilities related to IQAC, NAAC, NIRF and incubation at the University of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia. Outside academics, his interests include cricket, chess, and table tennis. Dr. Ali is known for his academic rigor, commitment to research excellence, and dedication to institutional development.
