Internal Hackathon for SIH 2026

The School of Engineering & Technology, IILM University, Gurugram, organised the Internal Hackathon for SIH 2026 on 2 September 2026 at the University Auditorium, with 330 B.Tech students participating. The hackathon served as an institute-level platform to identify and prepare student teams for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026, with participating teams presenting their proposed solutions — covering the problem statement, technology implementation, and expected impact — before a panel of six external judges: Mr. Noriaki Ikai (Founder & CEO, WeGrow Inc. and WeLive Inc.), Mr. Tushar Agarwal (Chief AI Officer, WeLive Inc.), Mr. Parv Dahiya (Account Manager Sales, TIBSol; Co-Founder & Head of Operations, Smalltalk Designs), Mr. Vinay Arora (Director of Engineering, AI & Digital Transformation Leader), Dr. Naveen Sharma (Director and Head, Future Skills Program, SSC NASSCOM), and Ms. Pooja Khot (Cloud Solution Architect).

• Students got direct evaluation and feedback from six senior industry judges spanning AI, cloud, engineering, and entrepreneurship — exposure well beyond typical classroom assessment.
• The event functioned as a genuine selection stage, not just a showcase: shortlisted teams will now be mentored and prepared for the next stage of SIH 2026.
• With 330 students participating, the hackathon reflects strong engagement with real-world, national-level innovation challenges across the B.Tech cohort.
