Assistant Professor
Abhishek Kumar Pandey is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science & Engineering at IILM University, Gurugram, specializing in Natural Language Processing, Generative AI, and Deep Learning. His doctoral research focuses on neural text generation and question answering systems, with a distinctive thread connecting India’s ancient knowledge traditions with modern AI through Sanskrit and Vedic NLP. Alongside his research, he has worked as a Data Scientist building production-grade Generative AI systems, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines and multi-agent architectures — an industry background that shapes his applied approach to teaching.
He serves as a reviewer for reputed international journals, including Springer, and has taught and mentored students in Python, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning through structured, hands-on, project-based learning. His current research interests include Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models, Vision-Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and low-resource language processing. At IILM University, he aims to build a strong bridge between cutting-edge AI research and classroom learning, while advancing research in language technologies for Indian and low-resource languages.
