Dr. Abhisek Sharma is an academician and researcher presently working as Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science & Engineering, IILM University, Gurugram. He specializes in Artificial Intelligence, Semantic Web Technologies, Knowledge Representation & Reasoning, Knowledge Graphs, Ontology Matching, Neuro-symbolic Artificial Intelligence, Explainable AI, and Multilingual Natural Language Processing. He has research and industry experience through his work as an AI/ML Research Engineer at iiterate Technologies GmbH, Germany, along with research internships at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Research, Pune, and a DRDO-sponsored research project at the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra.

He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Applications from the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, where his doctoral research focused on semantic technologies, multilingual ontology matching, cultural knowledge representation, and neuro-symbolic approaches for ontology alignment. His research has resulted in several novel systems including LSMatch, LSMatch-Multilingual, NeSyMatch, and CRIXP, contributing towards scalable ontology matching, multilingual semantic interoperability, and inherently explainable AI. He has authored numerous research publications in reputed international journals and conferences including IEEE Transactions, ISWC, OM@ISWC, Springer, and SemTab, and actively contributes to the global research community through conference organization, peer reviewing, and program committee memberships.
