Dr. Nihar Amoncar has over 14 years of global experience in higher education and currently serves as the Pro Vice-Chancellor at IILM University Greater Noida & Officiating Vice Chancellor at IILM University Gurugram. In addition to this role, he oversees the School of Management (where he also serves as Director), the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the IILM Innovation and Incubation Foundation, and the University Corporate Relations. Dr. Nihar’s core competencies include building high-performance teams, developing impact-driven academia-industry interfaces, encouraging practice-oriented and learner-focused pedagogies based on global best practices, shaping a futuristic curriculum, and providing faculty with support structures for growth and academic excellence. Previously, he served as the Chairperson of the Executive PGDM program and as an Associate Professor specializing in Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at IMT Ghaziabad. Before this, he was the Director of MBA programs at the University of Derby, UK, and Head of MBA programs at South Wales Business School. He has also served as an Advisor to the Minister of State for Education at the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Dr. Nihar’s research and teaching domains include Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Effectuation Theory, Business History, and Family Business Management. He has won multiple awards for his research at prestigious conferences in Australia, Malaysia, and the UK, including Best Faculty awards for excellence in teaching in the UK. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK, a member of the Advisory Board of GRCME, USA, and a member of the Editorial Advisory Board at the ABDC-ranked Journal of Research in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.
