Mr. Lohr is a global education executive whose career spans more than 15 years across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Over two decades, he has built a network of relationships across more than 50 countries with education leaders, industry associations, and employers, which he now brings to IILM’s mission of global partnerships and industry-connected learning.

Most recently, as Executive Director of External Affairs and Business Development at Dusit Thani College in Bangkok, Thailand’s first and largest hospitality and culinary school, Mr. Lohr expanded the college’s partner network across Southeast Asia and led its international hospitality and culinary admissions strategy. He also introduced a new vocational training model that grew into an international franchise, with the college entering new markets in Saudi Arabia and Albania, and he established employment pathways connecting students with employers overseas, including a placement program in France.

Earlier in his career, Mr Lohr held senior partnership roles at Hosco in Barcelona, where he led global business development for the hospitality education sector, building relationships with more than 400 institutions and associations worldwide. He also was the regional director of development for the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute where he led business development in Europe. Mr. Lohr has also been very active in associations, conferences and events often serving as a panel moderator and keynote speaker including at global forms such as the UNWTO and ICHRIE.

Mr. Lohr began his professional career in Gurgaon over 15 years ago as a Guest Relations manager at the Crowne Plaza Today Gurgaon. He has wife who is Polish and two American/Polish nationality sons, one of which was “Made in India”.

He holds a Postgraduate Degree in Hospitality Management from the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland, and a BA in International Studies and German from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and originally is from a small Nebraska Town. Mr. Lohr has since lived in over 7 countries and worked in over 50 worldwide.
