
Assistant Professor
Ms. Nitu Yadav is an academician, previously working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, Mohali (AICTE approved, affiliated to IKGPTU, Jalandhar), where she earlier worked as a Research Scholar (February 2023 – August 2025). She has over 3 years of experience in teaching and research with expertise in Deep Learning, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. She is pursuing a Ph.D. with a specialization in Deep Learning at Indira Gandhi University (since 2023), where she has developed a CNN-based model for the Detection and Prevention of Deepfake Images.
Ms. Yadav’s research focuses on deep learning-based detection and prevention of deepfake and forged facial images, including a CNN-based detection framework and DeepProtect, an integrated CNN-based detection, watermarking, and adversarial disruption framework. Her research contributions include publications in Web of Science-indexed international journals such as Archives for Technical Sciences and Proceedings on Engineering Sciences, and in international conferences including TIACOMP 2024, NETCRYPT-25 (JNU Delhi), ICRITO’25 (Amity University, Noida), and ICAICCIT-2025 (MRIIRS, Faridabad), along with presentations at national conferences and seminars. She has completed certifications and faculty development programmes with C-DAC, NITTTR Chandigarh, NIT Kurukshetra (DeLTA-2025), and IGU Rewari in areas such as advanced computing, deep learning, MATLAB, and AI for cyber security. Her areas of expertise include Data Structures & Algorithms, Machine Learning & AI, Database Management Systems, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, Web Technologies, and Python/Java/C++.
