Prof. (Dr.) Bhawna Mallick is a distinguished academic leader, researcher, technology professional, and consultant with more than 28 years of rich and diverse experience across higher education, research, software development, technology consulting, project management, training, quality processes, quality assurance and academic leadership. Her career highlights a dedication to academic excellence, innovation, and research, with a focus on integrating emerging technologies to build future-ready educational ecosystems.

Prior to joining IILM University, Gurugram, she served as Director – Teaching and Learning at Sharda University, Greater Noida where she contributed to strengthening academic systems, teaching-learning processes, and institutional quality initiatives. She has held several senior academic and administrative leadership positions, including Campus Dean – Academics at Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerut; Dean – Academics at Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida; Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering; Additional Head of the Department of Information Technology; and M.Tech. Coordinator for CSE and IT at Galgotias College of Engineering, Greater Noida.

Prof. Mallick brings substantial industry and consultancy experience along with her academic experience. She has worked with organizations including Infosys Limited, NIIT Technologies Ltd., MQAS Ltd., and Progression Infotech Ltd., serving in roles such as Technical Evangelist, Technology Consultant, and Senior Process Consultant. Her professional engagements have encompassed Business Intelligence, Design Thinking, Cyber Security, Cloud Services, Data Analytics, Project management, ISO practices, and CMMI standards. She has also contributed as a Technical Auditor for ISO and CMMI accreditation and certification assignments.

Prof. Mallick holds a B.Tech. in Computer Technology from Nagpur University and Ph.D. in Data Mining from Thapar University. She subsequently pursued Postdoctoral research term with the Singapore Institute of Technology, Singapore, in Artificial Intelligence, further strengthening her expertise in advanced computing and intelligent systems. Her research interest includes Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Fuzzy Logic, Networking, and emerging technologies, with particular emphasis on sequential pattern mining, incremental mining, and distributed data mining. Her research has contributed to the development of innovative algorithms for discovering meaningful and practically relevant patterns from complex data.

Prof. Mallick has a research portfolio comprising more than 65 publications in reputed international journals and conference proceedings. More than 16 research papers have been published in SCIE/Scopus-indexed journals, with reputed publishers including Taylor & Francis, Springer, and Atlantis Press. She has presented papers at several international conferences, published patents and book chapters. She has also served as Organizing Chair, General Chair, and Session Chair for international technical conferences.
