The Faculty Badminton Tournament aimed to promote physical fitness, well-being, and recreational engagement among faculty members, seeking to encourage a healthy work-life balance while fostering team spirit, coordination, and a sense of camaraderie within the institution. The tournament featured multiple matches in a knockout/league format where participants competed with great energy and sportsmanship, with matches marked by competitive spirit, skilful gameplay, and mutual respect; as the tournament progressed, intensity increased, with semi-final and final matches particularly engaging and drawing attention and appreciation from attendees. The objectives included providing a platform for faculty members to participate in sports activities, relieving professional stress, and strengthening interpersonal relationships in an informal setting, while also highlighting the importance of physical activity as an essential aspect of a balanced and productive lifestyle. Feedback received from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with faculty members appreciating the initiative to organise a sports event exclusively for them, praising smooth execution and the opportunity for relaxation and recreation, and expressing that the event helped in reducing stress and fostering a sense of unity and collaboration among colleagues. Participants expressed that the event encouraged many to actively engage in sports and maintain a healthier lifestyle, and overall the Faculty Badminton Tournament was considered a successful initiative that contributed to the well-being and morale of the faculty members.
This event was exclusively for faculty members of IILM School of Law and associated departments. Feedback from participating faculty was overwhelmingly positive, with members appreciating the initiative to organise a sports event exclusively for them, praising smooth execution, and expressing that the event helped reduce stress and fostered a sense of unity and collaboration among colleagues. Faculty expressed that the tournament encouraged many to actively engage in sports and maintain a healthier lifestyle, demonstrating the positive impact of recreational programming on professional well-being. The creation of a lively and positive atmosphere that encouraged interaction and bonding beyond the academic environment strengthens the collegial culture of the School of Law, which in turn benefits the broader student learning environment. The event models the importance of physical activity and work-life balance — values that faculty can authentically convey to students through their own engagement.
