Dr. Sanjoy Gorai is an Assistant Professor specializing in Environmental Science at the School of Basic and Applied Sciences, IILM University, Greater Noida. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Environment and Water Management from Kolhan University, Chaibasa (2014), and his Master of Science in Environmental Science from Doon University, Dehradun (2016). Dr. Gorai completed his PhD at the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology in 2023, focusing on flood risk analysis in the context of climate change and urbanization. With over six years of experience in teaching, industry, and research, Dr. Gorai has a robust publication record in prestigious SCI and Scopus-indexed journals. His expertise spans water and wastewater quality, supported by over a decade of practical experience. He has also contributed to consultancy projects involving Environmental Audits, EIA, No Increase in Pollution Load – EIA, STP & ETP Adequacy assessments, and Greenhouse Gas Inventory. He is involved in research with international researchers from Tel Aviv University, Israel; University of Calgary, Canada; etc. Dr. Gorai’s future research interests are centered on the application of remote sensing technologies in hydrology and environmental sciences.
