Assistant Professor
Dr. Geetika Patel is a passionate researcher and teacher in Organic and Green Chemistry. She completed her B.Sc. (Chemistry Honours, 2016) and M.Sc. (Organic Chemistry, 2018) from Guru Ghasidas Central University, Bilaspur, and received the DST INSPIRE Scholarship for both degrees. She earned her Ph.D. (2019–2022) from the same university (NAAC Grade A++), under the guidance of Dr. Subhash Banerjee, with a focus on “Sustainable Development of Methods for Organic Transformations Using Green Tools.”
After her Ph.D., Dr. Patel gained one year of postdoctoral research experience (2023–2024). She also gained one year of teaching (2024–2025) experience at the Department of Chemistry, Govt. Girls Bilasa P.G. College, Bilaspur. In 2024, she was also awarded a Post-Doctoral Fellowship by Jain University, Bangalore. She has published 20 research papers in SCI/Scopus-indexed international journals and contributed 3 book chapters. Her work has earned her an h-index of 11, and over 358 citations. Her research interests include visible-light-driven synthesis, biomass-derived carbon catalysis, Nano catalysis, and microwave-assisted synthesis of organic and pharmaceutical molecules using green and sustainable methods.
