Dr. Syed Kumail Sajjad currently working as an Assistant Professor (Economics) at School of Humanities and Social Sciences, IILM University, Greater Noida. He completed his B.A Economics(Hons), M.A Economics and Ph.D in Economic (on the topic “Impact of Economic Diversification in U.A.E on India’s Trade Since 1991”) from Aligarh Muslim University. His was awarded ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship in 2020 for his academic excellence and qualified UGC NET-JRF in 2021. His areas of research revolves around International Trade, Macroeconomics, applied econometrics, and energy economics. His research paper on Economic diversification of GCC was selected in Gulf Research Meet(GRM-2023) organised by Middle East Centre, University of Cambridge, UK. His several Articles/Research Papers got published in ABDC and various national and international peer review journals, showcasing his expertise and findings in these fields. Prior to joining IILM, Dr. Kumail was indulge in Procurement public policy formation and implementation and served as the Young Professional / Consultant in Public Procurement Policy Division, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal trade(DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India. During the course of his professional tenure, he accumulated valuable experience and honed his expertise in Economics, international trade, bilateral and multilateral trade relations, and foreign trade policy. Dr. Kumail is a dedicated Economics lecturer with experience in higher education, known for delivering engaging lectures and fostering critical thinking through dynamic discussions on current economic issues. He effectively integrates diverse teaching methods—lectures, presentations, and interactive activities—to simplify complex concepts and enhance student learning. Passionate and enthusiastic, he designs tailored assessments and assignments aligned with curriculum standards to support academic growth.
