Dr. Shams Khan is a distinguished Library and Information Science professional with over 20 years of experience in academic library administration, digital library management, library automation, and research support. He is currently serving as the Head Librarian at IILM University, Greater Noida, where he leads the development of innovative library services, digital resource management, and technology-enabled learning initiatives.
Dr. Khan possesses extensive expertise in library automation using KOHA ILMS, collection development, cataloguing and classification, electronic resource management, institutional repositories, plagiarism support, research assistance, and accreditation documentation for NAAC, UGC, and other statutory bodies. His research interests include electronic resource utilization, digital libraries, knowledge management, artificial intelligence in libraries, and emerging information technologies.
An active researcher and academic contributor, Dr. Khan has authored numerous research papers published in reputed national and international journals. He is also the author of three books and editor of two conference proceedings, reflecting his significant contribution to scholarly communication and professional literature. He has organized and coordinated several national and international conferences, workshops, and faculty development programmes.
