Dr. Jitendra is an Assistant Professor at IILM University, Greater Noida, and a researcher specializing in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Technology, Satellite Image Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. He earned his Ph.D. in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad, where his research focused on computational intelligence and multispectral satellite imagery for urban mapping, crop monitoring, water resource assessment, and environmental change detection.
Dr. Jitendra has over a decade of academic and research experience. He began his teaching career as an Assistant Professor at LDC Group of Institutions, Prayagraj, where he served from July 2013 to June 2015. He then joined IIIT Allahabad as a Teaching Assistant from August 2015 to June 2017 during his M.Tech. Subsequently, he continued at IIIT Allahabad as a Teaching Assistant from January 2018 to July 2023, while pursuing his doctoral research (PhD). From August 2023 to June 2026, he served as an Assistant Professor at Galgotias University, Greater Noida, contributing significantly to teaching, research, and student mentoring. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at IILM University, Greater Noida.
His research interests include satellite image processing, remote sensing, geospatial analytics, deep learning, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions for sustainable agriculture, urban planning, environmental monitoring, and disaster management. He has authored numerous research papers in reputed SCI/SCIE, Scopus-indexed journals, and IEEE conferences, holds patents, and actively contributes to advancing research in remote sensing and artificial intelligence.
In addition to his research, Dr. Jitendra has organized and delivered several workshops and Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) on Remote Sensing, GIS, ESA SNAP, ENVI, QGIS, Python, Machine Learning, and Generative AI. He actively supervises undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral research and serves as a reviewer for international journals and conferences. His professional activities focus on promoting interdisciplinary research and developing innovative AI-enabled geospatial solutions for addressing real-world environmental and societal challenges.
