
Assistant Professor
Dr. Manisha Sinha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Liberal Arts, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, IILM University, Greater Noida. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the School of Humanities, IGNOU, New Delhi, and has qualified the UGC-NET in Linguistics. She also holds two master’s degrees—an M.A. in Linguistics from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, and an M.A. in English from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKV), Varanasi, reflecting her strong interdisciplinary academic foundation.
With over fourteen years of experience in higher education, Dr. Sinha has previously served at Amity University and has taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in English Language, Linguistics, English Literature, and Communication Skills. Alongside teaching, she has actively contributed to curriculum development, academic administration, student mentoring, and various academic and student engagement initiatives. She has also conducted English language training programmes, workshops, and faculty development programmes.
Dr. Sinha has published research in reputed national and international journals and has presented papers at numerous conferences, seminars, and lecture series. Her research interests include General and Applied Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Media Linguistics, Translation Studies, English Language Teaching, and English Literature.
She believes that education extends beyond the classroom and is committed to fostering critical thinking, effective communication, and lifelong learning through innovative, learner-centric pedagogy. At IILM University, she looks forward to contributing to academic excellence through teaching, research, mentorship, and meaningful collaboration with students and colleagues.
