Dr. Anuj Rohatgi is a Biotechnology educator, researcher, and academic professional with around five years of experience in teaching, research, academic administration, and student mentorship. He is currently associated with the Department of Biotechnology, School of Engineering, IILM University, Greater Noida. He holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the National Institute of Technology Raipur, where his doctoral research focused on broad-spectrum anti-biofilm agents against Enterobacteriaceae as potential alternatives to conventional antimicrobial therapy. He earned his M. Tech. in Biotechnology with distinction from Amity University, Haryana.
His core teaching strengths include Bioprocess Engineering, Fermentation Technology, Bioreactor Design, Microbiology, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). His broader research interests encompass microbial biofilms, antimicrobial resistance, antibiofilm therapeutics, molecular biology, bioelectrochemical systems, and computational approaches in biotechnology. He has published research in reputed international journals, including Q1 and Q2 journals, contributed a book chapter with Wiley on artificial intelligence in biofuel applications, and holds three granted Indian patents related to biofilm infection simulation and real-time microbial biofilm analysis.
Beyond teaching and research, Dr. Rohatgi has contributed actively to institutional academic governance. His academic leadership responsibilities have included serving as Nodal Officer for the SWAYAM Committee, Department Academic Coordinator, and member of the Board of Studies. He has supervised undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and received a Best Paper Award for his work on biofilm visualization. He is also a Lifetime Member of the Indian National Science Association, reflecting his sustained engagement with the scientific and academic community.
