Dr. S. M. Shayez Karim is an Assistant Professor with expertise in Bioinformatics, Neuroinformatics, Computational Neuroscience, and Artificial Intelligence. He holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from Central University of South Bihar and an M.Tech. in Bioinformatics from SHUATS.
His research focuses on computational analysis of neuroimaging data, particularly fMRI and brain connectivity, with applications in neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders. His work involves functional brain network analysis, graph theory, machine learning, deep learning, and computational approaches for disease prediction.
Dr. Karim has published several research articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals and has contributed to research in bioinformatics, neuroinformatics, computational biology, molecular docking, and biomedical data analysis. He is also an inventor on an Indian patent related to the use of fMRI-derived brain network markers for the prediction of neurological disorders in infants.
