Her academic and research interests lie at the intersection of Intellectual Property Rights, technology, digital innovation, and emerging legal challenges, with particular emphasis on cybersquatting and domain name disputes.

Dr. Sharma has established a strong research profile through several publications in Scopus-indexed and peer-reviewed journals, in addition to several book publications and chapters.
