Associate Professor
Dr. Ajay Kumar completed his post-doctoral studies at Lincoln University College (LUCM) in February 2026 while serving as an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at IILM University, Greater Noida, India. Previously, he worked as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Big Data and Computer Science at Guizhou Normal University, China. He also gained industry experience as a Data Scientist at NDS InfoServ, Mumbai and contributed to the EduTech sector through iNurture Education Solutions, Bangalore, as a Mentor (IT-Academic). Additionally, he served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IMS Engineering College, Delhi NCR, India.
Dr. Kumar earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from DIT University, Dehradun, India. He completed his Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Software Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra, India and his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Information Science & Engineering from JSS Science and Technology University (formerly SJCE Mysore), affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka, India.
His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Health Informatics, Nature-Inspired Algorithms, and Programming Languages. With over 18 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, he has expertise in C, Java, Python, Software Engineering, Business Intelligence, Unix, NLP, Big Data Analytics, SQL, DBMS, and Full-Stack Web Development.
Dr. Kumar has actively contributed to institutional activities such as placements, research and development, examinations, admissions, and academic coordination. He has guided numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students in dissertations and projects. His research contributions include more than 38 publications comprising 1 SCI-indexed paper and over 15 Scopus-indexed journal and conference papers, along with several book chapters published in reputed international venues. His work has been presented at globally recognized conferences, including the IEEE TENCON 2021 conference. In addition, he has filed four patents at national and international levels in the field of computer science and emerging technologies. Apart from his academic and research contributions, Dr. Kumar has delivered several keynote talks and invited expert sessions at national and international conferences, FDPs, and technical workshops in the domains of AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Science. He has also served as a Session Chair, Technical Program Committee member, and reviewer for various reputed international conferences and journals. He has organized multiple seminars, Faculty
Development Programs (FDPs), workshops, and expert talks in collaboration with organizations such as IIT Roorkee, IBM, and Infosys. He is a life member of CSI, ISTE, IETE, ISCA, and IAENG, and a Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and ACM.
