Dr. Aryah Nair holds a PhD in Psychology and brings dual postgraduate expertise with a Master of Professional Counselling from Monash University and an MA in Psychology from India. She qualified the UGC NET in 2012 and was awarded the prestigious UGC Research Fellowship for her doctoral studies. She is a registered member of PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) and ACA (Australian Counselling Association). With over six years of experience in higher education across India and Malaysia. Previously she has held academic positions at institutions like Christ University, Amity University , and Government aided colleges in Kerala, contributing to teaching, curriculum development, research supervision, academic leadership, and international collaborations.
Her expertise spans counselling psychology, organizational psychology, mental health, and cross-cultural wellbeing. Combining academic scholarship with international counselling practice, Dr. Nair has worked with Taylor’s University and refugee education initiatives in Malaysia, providing culturally responsive counselling to the Malaysian workforce, refugee children, and university students representing more than 15 nationalities. These experiences have shaped her global perspective on mental health, resilience, and inclusive psychological practice.
Her research explores workplace wellbeing, meaning in life, resilience, integrative counselling practice and mental health, and she has authored several peer-reviewed publications and a book chapter. She is passionate about creating engaging, evidence-based learning experiences that bridge theory and practice while nurturing critical thinking, cultural competence, and professional excellence.
