Dr. Bharti Choudhary is associated with IILM University, Greater Noida since July 2021 as an Associate Professor and is also leading the Department of Biotechnology. She comes with an enriching experience of 7.6 years. After completing M.Tech, she worked as Junior Research Fellow in Ministry of Environment and Forests (MOEF) funded research project. Also, she was awarded UGC-BSR fellowship to work in UGC-SAP funded project on exploring bioactive compounds from natural sources. For her Doctoral thesis, she worked on “Antagonistic Streptomyces sp. and their metabolites as biological control agents against fruit rotting fungi”. During her Ph.D tenure, she also received the competitive DST International travel grant to present her research work at Industrial Biotechnology Congress 2015, Birmingham, UK. In 2017, she was awarded the very prestigious Department of Science and Technology-SERB-National Post-Doctoral Fellowship (DST-SERB-NPDF) and availed the same at Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Pusa, New Delhi. After honing her skills as researcher, she joined as Assistant Professor in School of Biological and Biomedical Sciences at Galgotias University, Greater Noida. She was the Member-Board of Studies and International Research Coordinator in School of Biological and Biomedical Sciences.

She has published many research articles in peer reviewed SCI Indexed Journals (National/International), Book chapters and Patent. She has a total citation of 261 with h-index 7 and i10-index 7. She has also isolated and characterized various novel microbial strains and submitted their sequences to NCBI. In addition, Dr. Bharti has presented her research work in various National/International conferences. Her current areas of research include isolation and identification of new molecules/drug candidates from microorganisms and plants, and development of biocontrol agents.
