Dr. Munish Sabharwal is Chief Operating Officer (COO) (CSE) at IILM University, Greater Noida (UP) India.
He is an accomplished academician, researcher, and proactive decision-maker with a diverse background and a passion for education and innovation. Possessing dual PhD qualifications in Computer Science (CS) and Management with a focus on Management Information Systems (MIS). A seasoned professional with over 25+ years of extensive experience in Teaching, Education Management, Research, and Software Development.
He possess a flair for teaching with the proven ability to apply the best practice based & innovation oriented teaching learning practices in engineering education as well as collaborative approach for research and decentralized as well as supportive style to academic leadership He has 16+ yrs. of research experience, has published more than 80+ research papers in reputed conferences and Journals indexed in Web of Science, Scopus etc.
He is board member as well as reviewer for a number of leading indexed research journals and has several books to his credit. He is guiding 8 PhD Scholars and his current research interests include Data Sciences (AI & ML), Biometrics & E-Banking. He was awarded with the Dean Excellence Award at the AICTE -EduSkills Awards for his role in School of Computing Science and Engineering, Galgotias University in the AICTE Virtual Internships 2022 .He was awarded with Certificate of Recognition as “Top 50 International Distinguished Academic Leaders 2020” by Green ThinkerZ in Nov 2020.
He was conferred with the “Distinguished Educator Award” in “International Business and Academic Excellence Awards (IBAE Awards-2019” on 31st Oct 2019 at American College of Dubai, Dubai (UAE). He was conferred with the “Best Senior Researcher Award (Male) (Above 40 Years)” by Global Education and Corporate Leadership Awards (GECL Awards 2018) on December 23, 2018. His international exposure includes USA, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (as Full Time Employment), Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, UAE (as Adjunct / Interim Assignments) and has visited Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and other Middle-East Countries (on Academic or Research Assignments). He has taught at the international level in a multi-cultural faculty and an interdisciplinary environment at Faculty of Digital Technologies, Samarkand State University, Samarkand (Uzbekistan), at MIS Department-Jazan University (Saudi Arabia) and at the Faculty of IT and Mathematics in Issyk-Kul State University, Karakul & Kyrgyz Technical University, Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan). I addition to the above, he has 2+ yrs. of corporate experience, including working as a software analyst in US. He is fellow of CEGR (Centre for Education Growth and Research) and IETE (Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers).
He has more than 12 Professional Memberships and Research Associations with organizations like Life Members- IAENG, TAEI, CSI, AIMA, YHAI, Senior Member – ACM, IEEE, IACSIT, IRED and Member- ASI, AAAI, AIS etc.He has special fondness for teaching, with 22+ yrs. of teaching experience ranging from the rank of a lecturer to the rank of a professor whilst concurrently holding administrative positions.
