Prof. (Dr.) Mohd. Nizam Ashraf Khan is currently serving at the School of Law, IILM University, Greater Noida and pursuing his Post-Doctoral Fellowship
on AI + IPR + Taxation at Lincoln University College, Malaysia, where his research focuses on the Legal Framework for AI-Generated Content Ownership and GST Classification in the Malaysia- India Digital Economy. Dr. Khan has a total teaching experience of 14 years across premier law schools, including G.D. Goenka University, Galgotias University and Nirma University.
Dr. Khan’s educational journey includes a Ph.D. in Taxation Law from Galgotias University, Greater Noida, an LL.M. in Corporate & Commercial Laws from the Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur and a B.A. LL.B. (H) from University of Lucknow. Over the course of his academic career, Dr. Khan has been fortunate to have more than 35 research publications to his credit, including papers in SCOPUS, WOS, and ABDC-indexed journals, as well as book chapters published by Springer Nature. Dr. Khan has also edited and authored books on emerging legal issues, including Artificial Intelligence & Law and Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property. Dr. Khan has had the honour of presenting research at international conferences across Vietnam, Turkey, Indonesia, Scotland and Sweden.
Dr Khan has received notable grants including the GAJE Grant and the Third World Network Grant for participating in international programmes in Indonesia and Kerala respectively. As an educator, Dr. Khan has successfully supervised 6 awarded Ph.D. scholars and mentored over 50 dissertations. Dr. Khan has delivered expert talks and faculty development lectures at prestigious institutions including IIT Guwahati, IIT Bombay, Mahindra University, and various law universities across India. Dr. Khan is an active member of World Intellectual Property Organization ADR Young (WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, Geneva) and serve on the editorial boards of reputed journals including the Journal of Intellectual Property Rights (JIPR), CSIR-NISCPR, New Delhi. Dr. Khan’s areas of interest and expertise lie in Taxation Law, Intellectual Property Rights, AI & Law and Corporate Law.
