
Professor & Head of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Dr. Pritesh Shah is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with nearly 20 years of experience in academia, research, and industry collaboration. He holds a B.E. in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, an M.Tech. from the College of Engineering Pune (COEP), and a Ph.D. in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from COEP.
His teaching and research interests include Control Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Embedded Systems, Semiconductor Design, Internet of Things (IoT), and MATLAB & Simulink. He has published over 130 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences and has received more than 3,000 Google Scholar citations. He has also been recognized among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier for his research contributions.
Dr. Shah is passionate about outcome-based education, experiential learning, and fostering strong industry-academia collaborations. He has played a key role in establishing Centres of Excellence in emerging technologies, including Semiconductor Design and 5G Communication, through government and industry-funded initiatives. As a MathWorks Certified MATLAB Associate and MathWorks Faculty Ambassador, he actively conducts faculty development programmes and technical workshops across India.
