Dr. S.G. Lakshmi Narayanan is an academician, researcher, and software quality engineering professional with expertise spanning both higher education and the software industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in Medical Image Processing from Gandhigram Rural Institute (Deemed to be University), where his research focused on computer-aided diagnosis and breast cancer detection using digital mammography.
With experience in academia as an Assistant Professor and extensive industry experience as a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), Dr. Lakshmi Narayanan brings a unique blend of research excellence, teaching expertise, and real-world software engineering practices to the classroom. His areas of expertise include Software Testing and Quality Assurance, Automation Testing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Java Programming, Database Management Systems, and Software Engineering.
His research interests focus on developing trustworthy and intelligent AI systems, computer vision, and next-generation software quality engineering.
