Mr. Yashwant Soni is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IILM University, Greater Noida, with over 17 years of experience in teaching and academic research. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. from SRM Institute of Science and Technology and holds an M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering from Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, and a B.E. (Hons.) in Computer Engineering from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
His research interests span Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Remote Sensing, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Data Analytics. His ongoing research focuses on applying deep learning techniques to satellite imagery for road network extraction, water body detection, and land use/land cover (LULC) classification. He has published several research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences, contributing significantly to the fields of remote sensing and geospatial intelligence.
Mr. Soni is dedicated to fostering a learner-centric environment that encourages innovation, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving. He actively participates in faculty development programs, workshops, and collaborative research initiatives, helping students develop the technical and analytical skills required for success in academia and industry.
