Heena Phogat is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering. Prior to joining her current role, she served as an Assistant Professor at Lovely Professional University (LPU). Along with her academic experience, she gained one year of industry experience at Siemens Digital Industries Software, Pune, where she worked in Product Security Operations.
Her areas of expertise include Programming, Java, Python, Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), Flutter, and Spring Boot. She has hands on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, RESTful APIs, Firebase, Git, GitHub, and MySQL, and enjoys developing scalable applications using modern software development practices.
She completed her M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, where her research focused on Machine Learning, with particular interests in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Deep Learning, and Explainable AI (XAI). These continue to be her primary research interests, and she is keen on exploring intelligent and interpretable AI solutions for real world applications.
She is committed to academic excellence, continuous learning, and exploring emerging technologies. She aspires to contribute to quality teaching and impactful research while inspiring students to develop innovative thinking, practical problem solving abilities, and a lifelong passion for learning.
