
Assistant Professor
Pooja Sharma is a Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) from MICA, Ahmedabad, India, and a Visiting Fellow at the College of Communication, Arts and Sciences, Michigan State University, USA. She holds an M.A. in Political Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, and is UGC-NET qualified. She is also a Professional Certified Digital Marketer from the American Marketing Association (AMA), in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Institute, Ireland.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of political communication, digital media, and consumer behaviour. She has collaborated on international research projects exploring the role of digital platforms in shaping public narratives and influencing voter behaviour. She has presented her work at prestigious conferences such as the International Communication Association (ICA), where she received the Best Student Paper Award in 2024, and is also a recipient of the Academic Excellence Award at MICA.
Beyond her research, she has actively contributed to the academic community through her role as a teaching assistant in communication and marketing courses at MICA, and has been involved in the design and delivery of Leadership and Management Development Programs (LMDPs) for senior executives from leading organizations including SONY, Colors, and Star. Her teaching interests include Integrated Marketing Communications, Digital Media Communications, Consumer Behaviour, Behaviour Change Management, and Qualitative Research Methods. She is passionate about fostering an engaging and research-driven learning environment that encourages critical thinking, practical application, and interdisciplinary exploration.
