Prof. Namuduri Srinivas is an accomplished academician, researcher and academic leader with over three decades of experience in higher education, research, academic administration and institutional development. He has served as Professor and Dean at Centurion University of Technology and Management, Andhra Pradesh, and spent over 28 years at GITAM (Deemed to be University) in various leadership positions, including Professor & Head of Life Sciences, Director – Centre for Integrated Studies and Dean – Allied Health Sciences.
He has served as Research Coordinator, Chairman/Member of Boards of Studies, Chairman of Doctoral Research Committee, DST-FIST Programme Coordinator, Ph.D. adjudicator, external examiner and reviewer for international journals. He has guided and mentored 18 Ph.D. scholars in Environmental Biotechnology and related areas.
His research expertise includes Environmental Biotechnology, Environmental Remediation, Environmental Carcinogens, Sustainable Waste Management, Carbon Sequestration and Environmental Health. He has been associated with projects supported by UGC, DST, UGC-DAE, NTPC and the National University of Singapore, and undertaken consultancy projects for NTPC, Visakhapatnam Port Trust, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and APAARI, Bangkok, including consultancy on the Foundational Guide for Millets.
He currently serves as a Government-nominated Member of AP State Allied Healthcare Professions Council and Subject Expert Member, Indian Maritime University.
As Dean, his vision is to build a research-driven, innovation-oriented and industry-connected biotechnology ecosystem through Education, Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
